House Direnni

The Direnni Oath

Sworn at induction, before those who bear the Direnni name. Lifelong. Secrecy kept for the House's benefit is kept — and is not a matter published here.

I swear this before those who bear the Direnni name, at my induction into the House. I will trade without favour of faction. I will keep the ledger honest. I will answer to the Heir. I will hold no other allegiance, save such secrecy as benefits the House. I will protect the House's coin and its confidence. I will take no other oath or vow, except secrecy kept for the House's benefit. I will steal nothing from the House. I will set no false price. I will not disclose a depositor's business. I will raise no arm beneath another banner. This oath is lifelong. No office in the House is held without it. What I keep silent for the House's sake, I keep. By the Tower.
